The temple will hold all seven jhanki on 8 November, with an arrangement ETV Bharat compared to Janmashtami. Mangla opens the day at 4 AM and shayan closes it at 8:15 PM. There is a long gap between rajbhog at 11:45 AM and gwal at 4:45 PM, so plan the afternoon elsewhere.

How will entry and exit work at the temple?

Entry is only through the temple's main gate. After darshan, everyone leaves towards Jai Niwas Bagh. Devotees coming from Kanwar Nagar and Brahmpuri can walk via Janta Market to the main gate. They will leave towards the Shri Chintaharan Hanumanji temple behind it, ETV Bharat said, quoting chief sevadar Manas Goswami.

Two separate lines are planned. People wearing footwear will see darshan from a ramp outside the temple premises, while people without footwear will get darshan inside the courtyard. There will be no place to leave shoes, so the temple has asked devotees to take them off before they arrive.

What has the temple asked devotees to avoid?

The temple has asked visitors not to bring bags, carry bags, ladies' purses, costly items or heavy jewellery. It has also asked them to come for darshan in Indian dress. People with heart disease, diabetes, blood pressure or breathing problems have been asked not to come into the crowd. Anyone who sees a suspicious person or unattended object should tell temple staff or the police.

Last year's Diwali plan was similar. A Dainik Navajyoti report from October 2025 described main gate entry and two lines for shoes. The Govind Dev Ji Temple stands inside the City Palace complex, Wikipedia notes.

What does this mean for visitors on Diwali?

The temple expects a large crowd, so plan for slow walking in the lanes around the temple and City Palace. Arrive with shoes already off if you want courtyard darshan, and leave bags at home. Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar will also stop entry at 5 PM from 7 to 9 November. Our monument timings update has the full list.
